My last paint job was a dark gold, actually called "Knox Gold" from House of Kolor. It was one of those colors that people either loved or hated. It almost looked more like a metallic brown (not sure if there's a difference between gold and metallic brown - think about it), and a friend of mine who's a UPS driver hated it and never failed to say so. He said it with love though.

I was in a HOG rally bike show and had the only customized bike in the Ladies' category. 3 stock Deuces won, which really irked me. I was thinking about a new paint job but I never could have afforded it. The next day I got rear-ended and got my new Thunder Mountain Custom paint job compliments of that idiot's insurance company. Now everyone seems to like it.

 

The funny thing is, here in Rockford IL SO many people have come up to me and asked me what kind of bike it is....many of them think it's a custom bike and don't believe me when i tell them it's a Harley.

Many of the cut-downs for this bike are usually said on *****************. If you go on there and ask opinions of the Rocker-YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET THEM (mostly bad, some good)

When I had my Dyna, some asked me what model sportster I had... That was one of my leading factors of getting my Fatboy

 

So what are ya sayin', Felix? You don't like the Sporties? Don't make me come on up there and show you a thing or two!

 

No Dear... I didnt say that. I just dont see me as a sporty kinda guy. I like my fatboy. Hell, I loved my dyna, I just wanted something bigger.

The sporty looks great on you.

 

Yep... I'm finally in my 30's, and got wise, getting rid of my 1981 Goldwing. (Although, to her credit, she was completely MINT! and rebuilt from the ground up by me.. very nice bike, but I love my Harley so much more!)

We had to finally wise up some day though, right?
