Input Please
Thought this might be a good place for some input.
My Street Glide was a present from my father when he passed on St. Patricks day. I am working on some memorial stickers that I want to put on it. The Glide is Vivid Black. His favorite color was Turquoise. On every car or truck he ever had he always had "happy feet" on the front tag. He made the plates out of feet stickers that he bought years ago.
So, anyway, attached is a .jpeg of my re-creation of one of his tags. I tried to make it in turquoise (but sometimes my color eye is not great.)
I am wanting to incorporate "In Loving Memory Of" in one line, and "Anthony Viveiros" on a line under it, then below those "1935-2012"
Since the bike is black, what color should I do the letters in? My wife suggested a black background for the sticker and then use white or silver lettering. I was hoping to use no background on the sticker (a clear sticker) but I cant do white letters on a clear background. I also don't know if they can do silver letters at all (the shop wont be open till Monday) and I am looking for options before I talk with them.
I am wanting to shrink the whole sticker down to about 3 or 4 inches wide, but make it clear to read while looking at the bike.
Thanks
Glenn

If it were me, I'd not put any stickers on my bike. i'd take my design and show it to one of the airbrush artists (typically at local bike events; several times a year at killer) and have then do it. They do wonderful work and have all the right colors. Have several friends with memorial airbrush work on their rides. They can probably offer some suggestions as well.
I'll chime in with what Blueyz said. I'd go ahead and have it airbrushed.
Although.....
The "happy feet" has a connotation implied with it.(
)
I'm "down" with that implication,
but don't know if I'd associate my fathers passing with it.
Casual observers could have questions about such...
Perhaps you could separate the image from the script some.
Just an observation.

Thanks for the input. To answer some of the things above.
Airbrush---I had thought about it, but remember one of my buds who had some airbrush work done, after a couple of years it started to chip and flake. I am trying to keep from having to clear over it to make it last since the factory paint is pretty nice.
Happy Feet---Yep, I know what they mean (dirty I mean) it was his favorite symbol and has been on every vehicle he has owned since at least 1974, (I was 4 then, but can remember them, they are on his 2012 Camry right now). Don't care if it offends folks LOL.
Happy Feet and Memorial---I would hope that people would understand that this symbol was something he liked, if people think it's that I am happy he is gone then they will be mistaken. If they ask I will be happy to explain it without being mad or offended. I think he would like that it confuses some and ticks off anyome that can't try and see a bigger picture.
Again, I am truly grateful for yall's input and nothing I said above is meant in a mean or snotty fashion. One of my buds here at work (fellow rider) said to get the feet in Turquoise vinyl and the lettering in Chrome vinyl and put one over the other. So I have another option I had not thought of.
If I do it in stickers, it's easily replaced if damaged, and I can see how it works and then when I do get some paint work done, would be able to incorporate it in paint at that time. I as thinking on the sides of the saddle bags. He said to put it on the rear fender, and them maybe just happy feet on the front fender.
Thaks again

Very cool to remember him that way.
How about having that engraved on a derby cover or horn cover?
IMO it would be longer lasting than a sticker, yet not a permanent as paint.
I have seen folks here on the forums have special stuff done in this fasion.
I will see if I can find a link to the business and post it here.
Here is one example, and perhaps the person that forum folks have used -
