Angry Code 0152 on 07 FLHTCU

Newbie here. Just bought a used 07 FLHTCU with 26k miles. Low and behold the check engine light came on as soon as I bought it. It's giving me a 0152 code. It's a too rich condition to the rear o2. It has SE slip on pipes and air cleaner. Should I be worried about this code? How much would the dealer charge to hook it up to check the mapping? Help please. The mechanic at the shop where I bought it played it off as a possible bad tank of fuel. Does this sound legit? What to do?

what tuning device if any do you have for the bike?

and yes it could simply be bad fuel

I couldn't tell you. I'm not sure it has one. I've had 4 bikes and none had fuel tuners. Where would it be located?

I would just clear the code and see if it comes back.

Did that. It came back. Doesn't stay on all the time.

ok.. you've probably just got some bad gas. You can put some octane boost or seafoam in there and it should clear it up. Me personally would just drain the tank and refill with 93 octane clear the codes and see what happens.

Did the same thing this last summer, bought a 2007 Ultra also with about 27,000 miles on it. Same issue, after riding for about 150-200 miles after purchasing I checked the codes and I had a P0152. I did not have a "check engine light", have never seen that. It is basically a stock bike, the quietest screaming Eagle mufflers I have ever heard, no stage one air cleaner. Someone suggested I change the air filter element, It was extremely dirty. Put another thousand miles on it with no problems, I have been checking for codes after every ride, finally after about a month and a half I pulled another P0152 code. I cleared that and up to today it has been good, about another 2000 miles. Have you checked your spark plug condition? If anything my bike was running a little bit on the lean side, no indication of a rich rear cylinder. So at this point, I'm just chalking it up to "nature of the beast". This is my first fuel injected bike, hope I don't live to regret it. Swapped out a really nice running Softail Custom. A 1998 with a carb! Might be a bad O2 sensor, I think they're fairly inexpensive if you want to change it yourself.

Another suggestion for my P0152 was to check operation of the idle air controller (IAC) and clean it. I used a cleaner designed for a mass airflow sensor, other guys have reported seeing black gunky residue coming out of the IAC, I did not experience this and the IAC appeared to be working just fine.

Had the same issue at 24K. IAC cured the prob. I had more proba also. Other problems included shutting off when letting off. Your problem may be different.

Update..... Unhooked front plug wire, hand tightened the tip of the spark plug and plunged wire back in. Cleared code and no more codes as of yet.
