J&P sells cheap plates that attach to the light bar bolts and lenses that have the clear license plate window facing down.

After that, I just cut the bar off, Yaffe (Bagger Nation) sells nice plugs to fill the holes. Also J&P again sells lights that can go in the same spot as the bar.

The bar is not structural, it is there only to hold your license plate on.

Best picture I had on the back of bike.

I relocated my tag....another member had this one for sale, plugged right in .......15 minute job....sorry can't remember what cycle uses this bar...but i do know it was narrower then the one on my '05 RK.

I like the way my looks..as far as the wrap around...i added a luggage rack it hides the holes pretty good.

That Harley-Davidson scripted plate is part of the factory relocation kit. I'm sorry I don't have the part number but I've seen it in the P&A catalog. Here's a pic of mine with softbrake plate relocation bracket and the J&P laydown lens

Kurakyn sells bullet light bar/tag kit. Other option is look eBay for 06-09 street glide takeoff rear signal/tag.

The part number is 53709-04 for the plate and 94600-98 for the screws. Some only sell a 10 pk of screws. They are 5/16-18 x 3/4, any chrome or stainless button head should work. I don't think the screws come with the plate.

The license plate mounts on the Road King is a bit more complex than that of most other models. On any other motorcycle, you simply have to unbolt from one side and slide it over to the other side.

On a Road King, it's best if you remove your air cleaner assembly, forks, and fairing (they're all held in place by hex screws) in order to get at the headlight bulb. Then remove these 3 "hex" screws which keep the light in its housing & attach it to your new bracket. After that's accomplished measure or find out what holes will work for your bracket on either the left or right side of this housing where they met up when you took off the 2 outer screws.
