What the hell?! I've lost a license plate for the second time on my 2010 FLHR due to a bump in the road. Not just the plate, but the whole bracket attached to the light bar. Anyone else had this problem?

Is that crappy plastic breaking, or are you losing the bolts?

When you put the next one on, put something under it, so it can't shake. Like some foam rubber or something.
I had a noise at the back of my bike that drove me nuts.... it was that crappy license plate bracket. A little wad of foam rubber under it, and the noise is gone.

I've been toying with the idea of making a bracket out of 5mm aluminum. And also having it be a three point attachment instead of just hanging by those two bolts.
Just need to find the time, and ambition.....would rather be riding, than fabricating right now.
I have the Road King signal bar and plate bracket on my 09 Classic. The plate bracket has a little rubber bumper on the back side of it that touches the fender and stabilizes the bracket. You can buy that bumper at the HD dealer for less than a buck.It might work for you.
