a dealer download will not make the bike run any less lean. all dealer downloads are e.p.a. compliant. for a hundred bucks you can buy some xied's...they trick the O2 sensors into adding fuel and richen the a/f ratio up. they can be easily removed if you take the bike in for warranty work.

I'm a bigger fan of the non-HD aftermarket stuff, myself
