Default tires

I'm due for a new rear tire. I would like some feed back about any good performing high mileage tires. Thanks

I have only had my Street Glide about a year & 8,000 miles but the 1993 Gold Wing I had I ran Metzler ME 880`s on and loved them. I could get 23,000 to 26,000 miles a set. I ran through 3 sets on that bike. They handled better than the stock Dunlops both wet and dry. I will be thinking very serious about them when these wear out.

Ride Safe,

Mike

880's might not last the longest, but they are the best ride.

I did't even get 6000 miles out of the only ME880 I tried. Didn't notice anything better about the ride, but the mileage sure sucked! I have a Dunlop Elite 3 with almost 11000 miles on it with a lot of tread left to go. If you can still find a Dunlop 491, I have gotten over 14000 from these on my 02 RG. I only ride solo and don't hot rod it, usually 60 to 70 mph most of the time depending on speed limit.

No complaints. Nothing is perfect on milled asphalt. The E3 doesn't have a center treadgroove.

My Hot Rod bagger now has a Conti on back, cornering on the steel a lot,no concern at all about slippage, and they say it is a milage tire.Other Hot Rod bagger has Metzler880's will see what happens when all the snow melts around here.

If youi want lasting tire then Dunlops is great for that. After close to 21K my front is being changed for the first time and my rear after 10K still has about 3K more left before changing.
