Default HA!

Bet some of y'all saw my name and figgered I was a-comin' in to rag on all y'all geezer riders!

Well,I ain't.

And no, I didn't buy one.

Buddy at work just picked up an '06 EG Standard with about 7,000 miles on it. Got it for $13k. He's moving up from a '04 Honda 750 Shadow Aero. He test rode a Honda 1300 VTX and said it was wicked fast, but not comfortable. He looked at 'Wings but said they wanted over $20k for 'em, and that was way too much for a plastic bike, no matter good it was otherwise. He took the Glide up to 85 peron I-220 around Shreveport and said he thought he was goin' 55 per, it was that smooth.

The other two riders at work (one RK & another EG) and I have been working on him for awhile. His wife enjoys riding and the Aero wasn't big enough to be comfortable. I talked him out of a Sporty for that same reason. He's grinnin' big time now, though!

And yeah, I'm proud he's on HD, even if he is a little young to be straddlin' a geezer-glide. Shoot, he ain't even 50!

See the light? I AM the light!

LOL, when I'm 70 you might see me on a garbage barge!

Next bike will be a rigid Evo. Unless I gotta build it for THE MAMA, then it'll be an Evo in a late '70s FL frame.

Shoot there, Darren, I's jist a Mod. We can't even ban the dang Honda ad banner that's attached itself to this thread 'cause I mentioned the VTX in the original post!

And if'n I build THE MAMA a stripped down Evo powered FL bobber, who do you think'll be riding it most of the time?

Guess I'm ahead of my time. Riding a bagger by 38. Good job on getting your friend to leave the dark side. As far as I'm concerned, you ride a Harley so your alright. [sm=biker2.gif]

I started riding baggers at 26, of course, they're great for the 7-10 rides. Back then, the best baggers were BMWs!! The old joke," I ride a Harley because i can find parts on the side of any road in AMerica">>>> It was true back then!! ONce HD got rid of AMF and started working on QUALITY, things got good the the hometown AMERICAN boy!!
