Thanks, that's what I thought. Why would anyone want them on their bike?
I don't know how they could be even close on damping, but maybe some don't care how their bike handles?
I can't really tell a difference in the handling but the bike definitely takes the imperfections of the road much better; feels like it floats over railroad tracks. And I can adjust the ride height on the fly so on the highway I drop it 2" the wind goes right over me.
I primarily did this to give me the extra clearance needed for 6" bags taking corners. My buddy paid $1500 for an Arnott system that only has 3" of travel.
Just make sure your connection are secure. Dont want to loose air wt the wrong time.
Lots of threads on the set up. Only one were the guy was upset and couldt keep the system aired up
+1 after intitial setup I found all the air was escaping after about 4 hours. A spray bottle with some soupy water found the leak in about 2 secs (loose connection at dump valve). Now everything's cool.
pardon for resurrecting this thread but I have been slowly building my kit for the air suspension setup. Having bolted the shocks on and finally starting pumping, got to 40 psi and heard a clack sound but could not locate where it originated from!
Hope I haven't damaged the shocks or worse the swing arm
I think I will change the fittings that come with the Monroe's, anyone know of the size, is it 1/4" BSP?
