On that last pic you can see that the sprocket was riding back on the cam,there is wear forwards up the ramp and some wear towards the opposite end....Why?
Weak springs?...or is that also normal wear?

Do you like to compression break? How many miles on the bike? Both sides wear, drive side obviously sees the most..

Yes,but not often....and 30,000 miles on bike. Is that why there is wear to both sides?...Does compression braking cause more wear on compensator?

6 speed Twinkies have the issues ('06 Dyna and '07 Big Twins on up.) The 5 speed comps are still pretty much bulletproof. (My original comp's now past 147,000 miles.)

Baker Drivetrains new model for 6 speeds has a chance because it's supposedly similar to the old 5 speed comps design.
