Wow, a lot of folks were sure rough on the guy ! Accidents happen to the best of us even when riding safe, maybe the dude was looking at the pedestrian for a moment and when he looked back ahead the car was stopping, distance gets ate up quick at 50. Could happen to any one of us.

I am glad you are not seriously injured and you said stationed somewhere so you must be a serviceman ?? If so Thank you.
