Does anyone with a '06 and older bagger have one of these on their scoots? I am curious as to how well they work. They sell for only $150, and seem to easy enough to install. Moco's is a lot more expensive. Please give a shout out, as summer is coming and with all the bikes on the road, I want to do more than lock down the ignition, lock the forks, and set a disk lock. I know if the theives want it, it is theirs, but every little bit helps.
http://digitalguarddawg.com/tyr this. Not sure if I inserted it correctly. First time I tried to insert a link. Seems interesting, and not all that expensive. Anyone with any info, would be great to hear from you.
I would still lock up everything whenI would be away for any period of time. But seems it would be very useful when running into the gas station and stuff like that.
I am not sure I could justify the $$ since I have the factory security system. but if it works as advertised it would definitely be worth a look if I didn't have the factory setup.
I also have the factory security system which I believes runs around $400 if you buy it out of the HD wishbook. It appears to be about the same approach, walk away from the bike andit won't start. One difference I see is the fact you can install the siren II in the HD version which is much better than some bs flashing lights. I may get the pager eventually also which I don't believe this solution has available. But for someone that is looking only to spend $149 it looks like a great option.
One thing on the RFID, which is the core of this solution. It can easily be picked up by devices so that it can be cloned, and then stolen. Now I'm not talking about Jack Bauer stuff, but regardless it will be a bigger problem for RFID in the future. This setup points out that it is an encrypted signal from RFID keyfob to receiver/interrogator. That is pretty forward thinking but doesn't surprise me from a security focused company.
