Default locks and stuff

Hi guys,

since having your bike stolen isn't something you are waiting for this time of year,
it may be a good idea to give this matter a little thougt.

What mesures do you take to secure your bike, at home or on the road.

just the alarm, a disklock, 2 disklocks....??

A friend of mine has it litterally "bolted" into a steel frame thats cemented into the floor.

Personnaly I like to remove one ignitioncable, atleast it will keep them from riding away with it...

The mere thought of it......[>:]

I have the Harley alarm. I also have a video system for the House and garage (where the Harley is) that's uplinked to a secure source, an ADT security system on every entry point including all windows no matter how small, and a 95 pound Collie (not as mellow as Lassie believe me)on a fenced property. From what I read on your other thread about justice in Belgium, you need to put a moat with armed guards around your scoot.

indeed !!!
Nothing beats a good, loud, boobytrap equippedalarmsystem.
Have some Live wire "220 volts" running thru the back yard, mace fogger in doorway andthe all seeing eye nextdoor.

Contractingsome armed guards is even better, .... have some MC's here that are experts in the matter so I hear.

However......
.... Here in Belgium (st*pid ape country) us brave civillians are not allowed to defend our property using "violence" unless you are attacked personnaly.

Whatever you do... DON'T MOVE TO EUROPE !!!

It's insured. I don't leave the keys sitting out, but dammit I'm not going to waste my time worrying about property.
I use the ignition lock, fork lock and alarm always. It is in a locked garage in a neighborhood with nosy neighbors.

Yes it will suck if it dissapears, but nothing is going to keep a determined theif from taking what they want.

Don't let the thieves make you go nuts... It's not worth it.
