Dropped it!
Glad you or your daughter weren't hurt - you might have applied the front brake while the front fork was turned - I have almost done the same thing - it's particularly bad with a passenger on the back as the weight makes it more likely to drop. I always make sure that front fork is straight if I am applying the front brake when almost stopped. Heard an old guy say once, "As soon as I buy a new bike, I take it to a parking lot kick the thing over on its side" - sooner or later, we'll all drop a bike for one reason or another. I could tell you a painful (mentally) story about dropping it in fron tof some college students where I was lecturing, but, I won't.
Glad to hear that you and your daughter were not hurt.
I knew a dirt biker that always said "There are two types of riders; Those that have been down and those that are going down."
I've dropped every bike I've ever owned at least once. My Glide has been dropped three times and one of those was the tow truck drivers fault the other two times were in gravel.
My last one was with the missus on the back and on gravel. Yes I knew better than to try and do a low speed turn on gravel but I did it any way. One of the guys that helped me pick it up grabbed the trunk and that busted the support. Got that fixed though.
The good part is that you don't die from wounded pride.
Is this Tilt thing new? My 98 never even quit when it was down. I had to turn it off myself and it fired right up but I think I had turned the power off anyway.
