Stereo
Has anyone changed out their stereos for aftermarket? There are so many out there and so I am over loaded with all the options. I want to keep the use of my hand controls and it needs to have some power. Also doesnt matter if it plays cds or not as I plan to run my phone thru it. With that said bluetooth would be nice as well.
Do a search and you will find lots of threads about it.

The simplest solution would be to buy a Biketronics kit. They sell full stereo/amp/speaker kits that are incredibly easy to install, and include a controller that will let you use the handlebar controls. I've got their 6.5" titan ii speakers and 300watt amp and I can hear them crystal clear at 85mph.

An aftermarket radio is almost garunteed to give you some improvement over stock. The stock hk radio creates alot of distortion as you turn the volume up, and its equalizer settings are pitiful. A new radio should give you much cleaner sound with far more control over how it sounds

That will void your warranty, didn't you know?
A biketronics kit is the way to keep your hand controls. Ya can use about any single dim stereo with their kits. Pick the one with the features and specs ya like. Still some good info over in the audio section.
