hi. I have a 2009 Touring ultra classic. Yesterday,I started the bike, the check engine lighted and stayed on. So, I checked my bike and found the code "P1502: stand sensor hight votage". And I cleared it but it didn't appear, and the check engine lighted.
Any idea on what could be the reason?
Thanks!
Based on your location, you have an international version and that matches to the info I found. Take a look at http://www.fuelmotousa.com/harleycodes.html and item #45. P1502 Jiffy Stand Sensor High
I'm not sure what the issue is but Google may be of some help.
It doesn't take but a half second to throw a code. It could have dirt or something.
Since you cleared the code and so far not doing again. I would just ride it and see if it does it again before I would be to concerned. It may have been just a glitch.!
If it stayed it on, then there is still a problem. Was that the only code from all the areas? If so, and if the code came back, then it could be a bad sensor or another issue causing it.
Thanks. But my check engine stay on.
What do I do to appear it?
Did you follow the steps indicated by the link provided by Finalshot ?
Did you review the jiffy stand switch?
Is the switch damaged?
Is a wire to the jiffy stand cut/rubbed/damaged ?
Has any repair been done to the bike?
What exactly has been done to address the problem?
If the problem item has not been addressed the code re-activates.
Once the problem is resolved then the light/trouble code can be cleared.
So, I checked my bike. It runs nomal, but light check engine stay on.
I think code P1502 don't light check engine.
any idea?
