Default Dyno question?

Like I posted in a earlier post I'm putting a VH Dresser Duals, VH Hi Out Put mufflers, SE Air Cleaner, SE Pro Tuner on my 2015 RGS. I'm paying for a Dyno Tune and now they tell me they cant do it until 500 miles, I have 37miles, they are going to just put a canned map until I get the miles on it. ........Here is my question when did you or what have you heard of doing a dyno, mileage wise?

While breaking a motor in on a dyno works well it would additional dyno time to pay for over the dyno tune. It is good idea to just do the 500mile break-in (actually more than needed) then do the upgrades and tune. Doing wot dyno pulls may be a little soon with only 37miles...

If you do it early it is a possible you may need a retune. That is if you want the best bang out of a tune.
It needs some miles on it to get loosened up. Around 4,000 miles give or take you will notice a difference in it's performance and fuel mileage.
When should you do it?
When can I do it?
But that's me.

Personally I would wait to put the exhaust and intake on until you do the dyno since you will be out of tune with that stuff on there. How long? I'd go 1000 but at least 500.
BTW...I just got a set of H.O.'s. V&H does a nice job on their products and they sound awesome.

I normally do dyno tunes, cam changes, change head pipes, etc..., at the 1000 mile service, if I'm in a hurry to do the mods then I will just take a few extra 100 mile trips at night to enjoy some extra riding time, most of the time a person can easily get the 1000 miles on the bike in a week or just a little over. I do know it's tougher right now, especially in the north (Mich.), I'm sure there is most likely no true right or wrong answer to the mileage, but again, I prefer 1000, because I like new oil and such, I guess if I was going to do it at 500 (like mentioned above) or any other mileage before 1000 then I would still service the bike before the dyno time.

The most critical part of your breakin has already been done. At 37 miles there is no reason not to have it dyno tuned by a professional tuner. I build engines all the time and breaking them in on a dyno is the only way to do it if done by someone who's knows what they are doing.

A competent tuner can break it in on the dyno. Let me guess, the dealer is doing your tune?
