Need help! I purchased a 23" front end set up. Rim, wheel, 6degree tress, lowering brackets, stoppers and wrap frnt fender all in a bundle. Great! Right? WRONG!!!!!! I know it takes 4-6 weeks to cut the rim but it's now going on 9 weeks and still no parts. It's a reputable company, so I know they didn't take me for a ride (I hope). I wont put their name out there yet. But as the ridding season approaches I'm getting a little nervous that my bike won't b ready. I already missed Daytona So I'm trying to have a plan B. So here is where you guys come in and try to help. I'm looking for another reputable company who offer front end packages that have a fast turn arounds or a pvt. seller used but with minimal use for sale. Thanks in advanced. Ps. Any other company beside Pickard Usa!
My guess is you hit the wrong time of year to find quick turn around from any manufacturer. I tried to get all my stuff ordered/bought before the end of December. My experience with getting custom wheels, or any custom machined stuff is, even if ordered before February expect longer wait times. A lot of people try to be ready for March, but wait too long to miss the busy time for manufacturers. Good luck. Hope you find what you're looking for.
Yea! Thanks! I oderd at the end of Jan thought that was enough time. I guess shame on me. But that's y I'm not mentioning the company's name or blogging about them, yet! It's also kinda frustrating when u look on their page or site and they are boasting on 26" set up that are being mounted and ready to ship!
Everyone is rushing to order stuff this time of year. Call Drew at HogPro. They keep a decent amount in stock.
I am sure have a few 23"'s in stock call me Monday I'll let you know what I have. I do know sometimes thing just take a long time and it is beyond control of the seller. Last year a guy waited 14 weeks for a set of PM rims with a pulley and rotors. Finally arrived but it seemed like an eternity.
When in doubt, early three months earlier than you really need the stuff. Live and learn. I answer the qeustion "why does it take so long" every day of the week at least once.
