07 Road King Help
If you can get it without paying their shipping, or handling or set-up fees or whatever they call it, you'll be doing pretty good. Good luck with your purchase, you,ll love the bike. Stafford
That's a good deal. In my opinion, the value of anything is only worth what you are willing to pay. When it comes to buying a new bike, I saypick only what you want then see if you can afford it. The bike I had before my RK, I settled for less than what I really wantedthen spent two yearsbuying add-ons, modifications and paint worktoget it just how I wanted it. When I bought my RK, I got the exact bike I wanted and didn't settle for anything less. I've never been happier.
We paid $18,620 out the door for our 07 Road King Classic with security. But then I won't tell you how much the extras were(lol) We thought this was a pretty good price as I called around in a 4 State area and they wouldn't budge off of the frt and dealer prep price of $19,600 out the door

Dealer prep and freight charges vary greatly from dealer to dealer, but the ones that I checked all charged MSRP and would not come off. I found one dealer that was charging MSRP + 66 bucks, but they would not trade for my Honda, so I wound up paying more in freight and setup charges.
Any RK is a great bike. If you have to buy new, andI suggest a used bike, that price seems fair. IMHO. However, before you put your money down, make sure it is exactly what you want. Don't settle, you will find yourself spending a lot to make it what you should have bought from the beginning. Also, I suggest looking at a rk custom. The '07 is the last year they will be made, and you wont see as many at the all the rallies you will be at. Also, if you are buying the standard because you plan on customizing it into somehthing you have in your mind, your money would be better spent on a police model rk. They are usuallya great deal, and most come with ABS, which is something all bikes should have. I would definatley go the police model route, if I was buying a bike now. That way, you have a great starting point and usually at a lesser cost. Just my opinion. But if the standard is the bike of your dreams, than no matter the cost, you should get it. I don't know you, but I will bet you deserve it. We all deserve to be happy, and ANY Road King will make you happy. Mine did.[sm=happybounce.gif]

Run with it - kind of hard now days to find a HD dealer selling at MSRP.. Most out on the west coast jack them up $500.00 - $1500.00 above MSRP then try to sell you the 7 year Extended Warranty (this one I feel is not a bad ides but the price can be lowered if you work the dealer - got mine for $850.00) & there service contract can cost ya some big $$$ - so by the time you get the out the door price is over $24,000.00 on a avg.. - Watch out for HD Finance charges normally around 8.99 - 12.99% and you can beat these besides HD Credit Sucks... Check Credit Unions as you can normally save 2 - 5% and that adds up over a 5 year period (My Credit Card company offered a 3.99% for the life of the loan)...
Just some ideas to consider... Also remember If you have HD Accessories installed prior to picking up your Putt then those accreeories WILL be warrantied for the normal warranty period...
