Looking to move this summer, and will need to tow my two bikes. FLHXS and a FLSTN...prolly around 1500-2000 lbs total behind the truck.
Seeing around the web some Kendon trailers. Seem a bit small and flimsy. Any experience with these? I usually like to think that with every rotation of my truck tire, those little tires gotta rotate 3x as fast to keep up. Seems to me it would put a lot of strain on a small trailer.
Thinking about a conventional trailer, but will need to put some chocks on it. Is Kendon ok, or should I think more of the standard utility trailer size?
Thanks for the help, and please, if you've got experience, I'd appreciate the knowledge. And, of course, if you got a trailer you want to get rid of before July within a couple hundred miles of Manassas,VA, drop me a line!
I run a single bike Kendon...like it alot...I also added Dyna beads to the tires...smooth as silk...and I tow it behind a Ford Taurus...(13/14/15 model)
But i have friends who run the double Kendon...and they also like it, i think the Torsion Axels also help on the pot holes, uneven roadways, nasty cracks on the highways ....
We had a Kendon at work. Decent trailer for normal use....not heavy duty by any means, but it's not designed to be. Can be propped up on it's back side for storage in a garage which is handy. The two bike trailer is capable of hauling two full dressers without issue. It can also haul a single bike on one side.
