Sold my bike over the winter. Combination of bad loan and wanting different bike. Regretted as soon as I bought my street bob not buying street glide. I really regretted not buying touring with hard bags. Not necessarily sg. Going Saturday to buy a bike and my question is there much difference between street glide and special? Thanks
The special has more bells and whistles stock. Not sure exactly what all the upgrades are, but I know the special has the better infotainment system. I think they also have the premium shocks and security.
One thing I personnally like about the standard is I doesn't have the pin stripes.
Good luck with your purchase, you will be happy with wich ever one you choose.
I have the special 2014
iner farning is painted
hydraulic clutch
radio with GPS and all the other ****
under the head light painted
gas shocks
pin strip (I would rather do my own)
maybe some other dress up parts
I think the extra money is worth it.
Special comes standard with
ABS. ($795 option on SG)
Security. ($395 option on SG)
6.5 infotainment (not factory option on SG but $1800 in P&A catalog)
Hand adjustable shocks (not factory option on SG but $549 in P&A catalog)
The above add up to $3539. The difference in base price is $2,300. Making the SGS a "good deal" on paper.
