So I bought the cheap lower farings off ebay for my FLHT. I am happy with them, but there is a lot of discussion about the overpriced mounting bracket kits. I came up with a $5 solution. I bought 2 split ring hangers,4 washers and two 3/8" bolts from Lowes for less than five dollars. Works perfectly!
the ebay lowers are decent. you will probably have to tweak them to keep the vents from rattling or breaking loose (cheap plastic hardware) some people have issues with the mounting points for them cracking, others have used them for years with no problems. personallly i think its well worth the money for the vivid black set
I had to do a little grinding to clear the left foot board but other than that, they look great. To buy painted anything under $100 is pretty impressive. Just make sure you do not buy the unpainted ones by mistake.

Thanks, I may try them and see what I think.
