I changed cables and front brake lines, some don't but I didn't want to skimp and have a cable fail early due to fatigue. The Harley kit comes with stainless front brake hoses. Very happy with end result.

When I installed my bars, I wanted to replace the cables with +2 Diamondback cables but they are not available yet. Since I didn't want to do it twice, I chose to reroute the stock cables.

I've got 'em on my '05 Ultra. WHAT A DIFFERENCE A COUPLE INCHES MAKE (where have I heard that before ).

Dealer did the whole job with new cables - braided brake lines - for $400.

WORTH EVERY CENT. Like a new bike. No more leaning forward or reaching.Very comfy on the long hauls.

Did 12 hours yesterday with them - no arm/hand/shoulder/back fatigue.

Best upgrade yet.

I have thought about doing this too. It would be nice to sit up instead of leaning forward.
Guess I'll have to save my pennies this spring for the conversion.

if you really want to change bars - take a look at Wild1's... Once you wrap your hands around a "Chubby" you will never go back..

I opted for braided brake lines and standard clutch cable.
