DTT Installed - Huge Difference !!!
I finished the install of the DTT on Sat, did a tuning run Sat eve, this thing is amazing. When I first started it, it coughed, stumbled and in general gave me second thoughts, but went for a ride and within 5 miles it was already running so much better than with the PCIII. By the time I had 30 miles on it, it was amazing, I was pulling the front wheel with rollons of the throttle. The DTT has unleashed the hidden power in my build !
I did have stumble off idle, came back, downloaded the data and found it way too rich in the 1000-1500 rpm range, made a few edits and redownloaded. Rode today, stumble was gone and it ran overall even better than yesterday!
Couple of tech issues - If you are running Rinehart True Duals and a HD Oil Cooler, the front O2 sensor is almost impossible to get in, and it hits the oil filter/cooler adapter. I had to carefulley "tweak" it a bit just get the pipes back on, there is no way to get it in with the pipe in place. If I had no oil cooler adapter, it would have been a piece of cake.If I was going to keep the Rineharts, I would move the bung or put an angled bung in.I took more time to get the front sensor in than to install the entire rest of the system. I am going to LSR Blackholes, and received a PM from another Forum reader that the the front sensor is fine, but the rear sensor will hit the top of the tranny. We will see when they arrive.
2nd issue is the IAC screw wants to move, had it set perfect at 32 when leaving today, but after looking at the data after download, it is now 28. I am going to see if I can find a very thin nut to fit this and use it as a jam nut. I would use blue loctite, but think it mayset it in place too tight, as it is tough to turn now.
3rd issue, the TPS - make sure you elongate the mounting holes more than enough, I had the thing on and off about 5 times before I could set it right.
Bottom line - this is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and once you start playing with the system, everything starts to make perfect sense, not too difficult to dial in. And it really does "learn" while you ride. Another hotrod bagger for the sporty bikes to deal with now !!
Thanks to PhilM, SpikeCt and HarleyRulz for the handholding and help through the process and Shooter64 for the great price on the unit.I hope as I become more proficient with the DTT,I can do the same for others.

Sounds great Dalton. Gonna be trying the DTT install as soon as busy season ends. The tips you give are appreciated too. Makes it a lot easier when some of those "little" problems are known beforestarting.
You really have an awesome scoot.....Are you ready for BOTM?

You are more than welcome, Guy! I am glad it worked out so well (although I knew it would!).
For the 1st time since i've had my DTT, I had the throttle stop screw back out just a bit, this weekend. The result was that mike bike went from running fine, to running like ****, in an instant. After talking with Spike, Bryan, Kevin, & Bernie about it and how to stop it, I have an idea that I just need to figure out how to implement. It is similar to what Guy mentioned above. What I want to do is use a 2nd set screw to use to "jam" the adjuster screw in place once the IAC & TPS are properly adjusted.
btw - I agree w/Andy.... You bike would be a great rep for us in the BOTM!

Bryan, the set screw idea just might work, although if overtightened could mess up the threads on the IAC screw. Let me know how it turns out. I think I am still going to look for a thin nut, or cut one in half myself and use it as a jam nut.
Thank for the BOM compliment, and to usecotton too.

Great news Dalton, and glad to hear the success in your performance platform. If they ever let me back into the states without a cavity search, i'll have to come visit and go for a run with ya!

What does DTT stand for? I have heard of the PCIII, Thundermax and now DTT....maybe I should just scan these topics in stead of reading them$$

Can somebody post some dyno results with the DTT?
If we can get a before DTT with properly tuned SERT or PCIII versus post DTT, that would answer some questions for me!

Update - the IAC had moved.
I was able to pull the IAC set screw and cut a slot in the top of it to use a flat blade screwdriver (damn Hd and their Torx). Went to the hardware and got a M6-75 pitch nut, ground it down to about 3/4 of its original width and put it on the back of the screw where it protrudes from the throttle body. Reset the IAC, a little blue loctite and use the nut as a jam nut on the screw. It should not move now!
Made another tuning run and it is almost spot on, have cured all lean and rich problems, no stumbles, coughs, etc. The programming is becoming quite easy to use, I understand more every time I view a data log and this is really not hard at all to do.
The DTT , to use HarleyRulz's words, is da chit. This thing runs !!
