Got no love in the tech forum. I have an 05 Electra glide. I put a street glide seat on. I really like the seat, but it sits me back a bit further. It makes my bars slightly uncomfortable. However when I look up the specs in aftermarket bars, none seem to have as much pullback as the stock bars. I don't have very long arms. Never rode with apes before, I could probably do a 9 or 10" ape, but can't find bars with a greater pullback. Could I just angle the apes back a bit at the riser? I don't want to blow the $ on bars if it's not going to help.

I've been mapping this out myself before pulling trigger on next bars. You can use a pipe and plumb line to map out what your height and pullback needs are. Kromewerks (sp?) is only mfgr I've noticed that reflects the bar pullback, and actual pullback with bars in line with fork. You can see the relationship taller bars have on actual pullback (more). You also might wanna hit your local dealer and sit on some used bikes that have different bars.

I believe Wild1's are going to be your best bet for the most pull back.

Went to my local shop today. I'm going to try a pullback riser. I will see if that helps. If not I will try and find some bars.

Seemed like a strange idea to me. I asked the lady if they would work with the dash and radio. Glad I didn't pay until the parts come in.

Take a look at the 10" LA Choppers "Twin Peaks". Very ergonmical grip and you can pull these back to fit your needs. I put a set of these on my wife's uncles bike. He's 5'8"s and said they fit the bill for him.

I have a Street Glide seat on my 06 Electra Glide too. Came that way from previous owner. I also felt like I had to lean forward to reach the OEM bars.
I installed a set of 13" CycleSmith bars. I rolled them back towards me some. About a 1.75" gap between bars and fairing. I'm 6', and my arms are not extended at all. Vary comfortable riding position. And you feel like you have better control of the bike.
