Default Attaching flags to antennas?

So I have some really nice 6x9 poly cotton flags coming that I'd like to run on the bike. My FLHT has the long thin whip antennas and I am thinking about just running the flags down those but I'm not sure how to keep them from running up the whips. I was originally looking at poles that attach to the tour pack rack but it seems like the antennas would work fine if the flags were kept all the way at the bottom. Idears?

I had flags on mine over the weekend. It started to bend them. I took them back off. What I did to hold them on was put a small hole at the top and bottom and use small zip ties. I made sure the zip tie laid in the notch at the top of the antenna so it did not slide.

Keep them as low as possible - I put the flag on, pull it as far down as I can, usually all the way down on the base, then add a washer that is larger than the hole in the flag and put a zip tie on the antenna to keep it all in place.

Maybe it's just me (and it probably is), but when I see flags on antennas, and they're positioned all the way down to the base of the antenna, it looks like the flags are at 1/2 mast.

If you have a "Airwing" tourpak rack on your tourpak, may I suggest getting the Propad Flag pole kit.
You can see it in the photo below, it's to the right of the rack were the post attaches to the lid. (I don't have a photo with the pole or flag on it.)
But it works killer, even with my tourpak bag on the rack.

What is pretty funny is that some folks ask me what it is (flag pole clamp) and I reply, a back up camera! And the are like really.... I want one! How much?

Those look like the same ones I use. I have various flags for various reasons. US, POW/MIA, PGR, Don't Tread on Me, Thin Blue Line, etc.

They seem to work well, albeit a tad pricey.
