Default Shocks
Just wondering if 2014 street glide shocks will work on a 05 electra glide with the frame design changes.

Yes they will. But will lower the rear an inch and lose an in inch of travel.

are you talking about the premium shocks? Some say the early swing arm may not stand up to the shocks splitting the comp an rebound functions an may twist. The air shocks work the same so no problem.

spend some money, and buy some good shocks, you will love yourself for it.

I have no problems with short legs, but I do know that Howard of Motorcycle metal (forum sponsor) can set you up with awesome shocks, that work well , and are shorter.He gives a forum discount too! http://www.motorcyclemetal.com

I wouldn't use them on an '05.

In '09 they beefed up the swingarm, allowing them to use these type of shocks.

Have you ever considered modifying your seat instead. mean city cycles has a great reputation for that. I would not want to give up ground clearance or travel.
