Power vision
Finally got to do a long run (with some autotunes) on my new Power Vision with Target Tune. Also put on new FM header pipes. Already had FM E-series slip-ons. The Power Vision replaced a Power Commander V. I thought she ran good with the PC-V, but it ain't no comparison with the new head pipe and Power Vision. WOW!! After running 3 autotunes, I couldn't really tell a difference from the FM tune they shipped out when I bought the Power Vision and Target Tune. All of them ran great with no decel popping and outstanding performance. Temperatures were good also. I was still getting lots of red overwrites in the cells when running the 3rd iteration of the autotune and kinda thought it would have been dialed in at that point. I'll continue to run some autotunes and try to get it even more optimized and may even play with enhancing the mileage factor when cruising at 0 to 75.
All in all, I'm very satisfied with the entire combo.

Well gang, after 11 straight days of heavy rain. After recovering from hand surgery. Yesterday, I finally got a chance to ride the dang bike after using the Power Vision. Previously, I only had a download from the dealer, with some Rinehart mufflers.
When I came from the mod shop a few weeks ago (prior to the Power Vision) (I had the Power Duals, CFR's and monkey bars installed), the bike ran rough. It was a very uncomfortable ride.
Yesterday, I did 200 miles with the Power Vision, with the tune sent by FM. All I can say is wow. It was a smooth ride. Half way through the ride, I pulled over and ran AT. Now, to be honest, I'm not sure what those green and red boxes represent. I didn't finish reading the manual. But Im really impressed with how my bike finally sounds and feels.
I could be wrong but previously, it seemed that my RPM's were all over the place. Now, it seems more consistant. AT 80 MPH, I was under 4000K. I'm not sure if the Power Vision affects the RPM. But I'm now ready to really get into the PV and enjoy the bike. Fortunately here in the South, we can ride through the end of the year.

Two comments:
If you haven't finished reading the manual I would be surprised if the AT did anything for you. Did you export the learned values at the end of the session? Did you re-flash the ECM? Not trying to start anything but I have seen several people missing these steps.
The only way the PV can affect the RPMs is if the speedo calibration, in the new map, is different that what was there previously.

To the OP. Found this thread searching stuff on tuning. Similar to you, I'm to receive the Power Vision via FedEx today...and also live in Charlotte. I just installed a set of headers and AC. I saw some of your other threads regarding the Power Vision. Thanks for asking those questions, they're decent threads to follow.

Since making this thread, I reached out to Jamie for a better map. With my CFR's, I was still getting a lot of popping while decelerating.
The map jamie sent seemed to clear up the popping. And, I really don't notice a difference btwn the map he sent and the AT. So, I assume his map was on point.
In the Spring, I'm going to have Andrews 57h cam installed. I've been going to Busted Knuckle in Morrisville. The owner, Mark does excellent work and his prices are so much better than the Stealership (personally, I don't think he's this for the money as much as his love for bikes and helping people. Anyway, if you're looking for a good shop which does quality work, check out:

Hey man, thank you. The PV is expensive. For $500, I wanted to ensure that I got my monies worth.

Typically after changing Slip-ons and adding Cams I had to do 8+ tunes to get a decent change to the base map. keep playing with the auto tunes because the standard auto tune that comes with the power vision can only make small changes in every tuning run you make.
Thanks for advice. And...another dude from Charlotte!
Some said $500 was expensive for the Power vision . Maybe ,maybe not. You can pay that for a dyno run and then that is it you are done. With the power vision you can change the tune any time you want . I had two store that I would switch once in a while , one of better mileage two up and one for a little throttle time.
Anytime you make changes to your ride you can run a few auto tune runs and good to go.
There is this belief out there that dyno tunes are some how magic. Unless your are running some crazy build racing a machine they are unlikely to give you any more that what can be done with a good tuner.
The power vision is much more than a tuner it has many tools that you can use if you wish.
Good luck with your Power vision. As I said before save a copy of your original tune to your computer, save copies of good tunes you like also. Just incase you have a failure of the unit.

I just did the autotune. I'm curious if temperature has a major factor, it is approximately 44° out. Still had a tad of popping on the decel, however I think I did with stockholders when it was just cold as well.
