Not sure it's worth the upgrade then vs. spending my $ somewhere else right now?
It made a dramatic difference on my Road King. Super simple install. You can do it without even jacking the bike up.
IMHO, these motorcycles have "enough" power out of the box. Lots of guys spend thousands of dollars on the engine, and don't touch the handling which is where these bikes are seriously lacking.
Do the true track, get some good shocks, and you'll be amazed at the transformation. Power is nothing without control.
Forgive me if this is a dumb question...but here goes. Is it possibly a bad idea to solid mount the engine/transmission to the frame with something like the Alloy Art Stabilizer? Will this type thing increase load or vibration in parts not designed for the stress?
I've never experienced the wobble but I've heard the True Track helps with handling. Has anyone put a True Track on? How does it help with handling?
I have a '12 Limited. Love the bike. There is one long, sweeping curve on a ramp between two freeways. I take this ramp frequently. I was in a hurry one day, good weather, little traffic, and i took it faster than usual. I felt a wobbling feeling from the rear of the bike.
Put the money towards a good set of shocks. That will make the bike handle much better. I just recently bought an 11 RK and thought it would need a stabilizer. Like to Ride spirited, it holds the line really well since I installed Works. Just finished installing Race Tech 1.0 springs and Gold Valves this evening to finish the job HD barely started.
When you have a rubber mounted drivetrain, a True Track will help, period, end of story. I don't care want some say, the rubber mounted engine/trans/swingarm will move back and forth regardless of the frame it's bolted to, unless there are stabilizers present to limit the movement.

I more or less can't provide you with a absolute answer since my bike had the true track installed by the PO but I can absolutely tell you this, I've never felt the "wobble" on sweepers on my 08 frame. Also as a side note, I am running Progressive shocks.
