I used a Camelbak in longer bicycle races for years. I never thought about something like that for motorcycles. Seems like a bit of overkill to me, unless you are into something where stopping for a drink would not be feasible.
My wife & I went across Washington, Idaho, Montana & Wyoming last summer during 90-110 degree heat in July, I purchased 2 evaporative cooling vests on ebay for around $20 each, dont know how we would have done it without them, a real lifesaver.
You soak them in water & they have absorbent material that soaks up a massive amount of water, when you ride the wind blowing over the moist vests cools you.
I have the vest that you soak and wear. if you put too much water in it, it's too hot here in FL. You get clamming and wet. Soak it with just enough water to wet it good and it's good for about 2 hrs of cooling.
..used cooling vests last summer..not sure of brand, they were loaner/demos.They had gel packs that you froze solid in freezer, placed in pockets on vest. Were a little hard when you first put them one but softened up and were not uncomfortable. Seemed to last about 2-4 hours or so, pretty effective overall.
