Default Saddlebag Guard/Rail options???

Looking for saddlebag guards for my 2013 FLHTK.

It currently has the single, vertical bar located at the front of each bag.

I've seen the Harley Twin-rail guards and the Nostalgic guards.

Are there any good after-market options for my bike?

I like the looks of the Biker's Choice Fat Bars but can't find any information as to how they mount or if they still being manufactured.

Any and all help is appreciated!

If you like the Harley style, keep an eye on Ebay, they're for sale all the time for cheap. That's where I got mine

What the above guys said. I don't understand why a top of the line model wouldn't come standard with the side rails. Back in the day, even the entry level Electra Glide Classic came out of the box with them. Well, I do understand, but it doesn't seem right.

They're certainly still available:
Amazon.com: Bikers Choice Rear Saddlebag Guards for Harley Davidson 1997-2012 Touring model: Automotive Amazon.com: Bikers Choice Rear Saddlebag Guards for Harley Davidson 1997-2012 Touring model: Automotive

The picture shows the bars welded to the front bar, so it's a whole single piece assembly. Chrome ones seem to be out of stock at the typical stores.

Various pacific rim makers of the nostalgic type bolt on bars sell on ebay constantly.

I found the Biker's Choice on Amazon & Ebay but as you said, the chrome ones are out of stock, which is what I need.

I read a few reviews and one said that other HD parts were required to mount them, with another talking about "sawing", which didn't sound good.

When researching the "pacific rim" nostalgic" guards here on the forum, the general consensus was that they are low quality, light gauge units build for "looks", not for protection.

I like the HD Nostalgic guards and have found several nice sets that are reasonably priced. I'll probably go this route if I can't find something different.

What I liked about the Biker's Choice was that they were "different". Every Harley Bagger with bag guards either has the twin rail or nostalgic guards.

Are there other companies who offer something "different"?

Hi,
I have standard bars but mixed them with black and chrome for a different look.

Even in 2013 my E Glide Classic came with the rails, it was one of the features that sold me on the bike. I special order the Classic for it's plain jane classic look. The guards actually ended up serving a purpose for me, they prevent the bags from falling completely off onto the ground when I remove the retainers. My short term memory ain't what it used to be. 😳
