Default CD LED Tail conversion

Wondering if anyone has done a tail light turn signal conversion where they removed the bar holding the bullet style tail lights/turn signals on a '10-16 Street or Road glide and used CD Plasma Rods?

I've been looking around for a used CVO rear fender system but apparently they are a hot commodity and get bought up quick. So I've been thinking about using CD plasma rods with their integrated license plate frame and possibly the lower Friday-bar lights that go in the facia. Would love to see pics of this if anyone has done it.

I have been dying to do the same. But now I just settled on doing everything LED in the rear. Custom Dynamics has the flatz which fill in the side panels. That's next on the list. I have the taillight LEDs and added the tri bar led last night.

There should be no reason why you can't.

Your either splicing into the exsisting wires or using posi-taps.

Depending if its a pre 14 bike or later, you will need different components to make it work. All supplied by CD.

Default Custom dynamics LED front and back

Not sure how much you can see but i went with CD LED's front and back with smoke lenses. Dynamic rings on the front and LED inserts in the back plus the rear LED tail light all with smoked lenses. Headlight is the LED Truck Light.

found this link if anyone is interested. This posters bike looks really good. Clean, uncluttered, and cheaper than doing the CVO rear fender kit.

Did it when I had my '07 FLHX. Used the Yaffe Stealth 3 plate to cover up the holes, and I wired the plasma rods into the turn signals and used a RTB controller, but you probably won't need that with the later FLHX models without the actual tail light.

A little over $800.00 with buying all parts and having fender area smoothed and repainted. The area I had welded up is underneath the stock license plate and has a black plastic puck stuck on with double sided tape. I thought of using a Willie G medallion to cover, but that's crappy looking just like the plastic puck.
