Default Superglide

A guy I work with wants a HD. He said he liked the superglide. He's really tight with his money, 6' 230lbs, and wants to be able to ride two up. I told him to get a bagger because if he don't now he will later and it will be cheaper in the long run. How long will it take before he trades up?

Took me two years and a 956 mile road trip (two up on a dyna wide glide) to get my first bagger. It won't take him long.... Remi

Yep, two years, and one trip to Sturgis (1200 miles each way) was all it took for me.

depends on the frequency of 2-up. I'd venture after taking several "multi-hour' trips riding 2-up ... it'll just become a 1-up bike and next season the upgrade will take place.

took me 28 years, Partially financiel reasons, partially young with stronger back, partially slow learner..ect,then it started to hit me aroundat 37wright after I bought a custom bike and was doomed to live with desicion for 6 years. Yes it cost me in the long run. Maybe this will help.

I didn't even make the decision alone. The sales guy saw me on a heritage. And said I barely fit (he was right) with the wife on, there was no way. Bought a rk custom, and am happy with my decision. If he is frugile, tell him to buy a used touring bike. Cheaper, and he will get what he will want before he knows what he wants. As a friend,I would talk him out of it.

Second all the above. I love my Superglide for one-up, but it is not the bike for the purpose your friend has in mind.
