I bought some led light strips to go on the bottom of the bag rails. My issue is this. The package says 12v but .36 amps. I wanted to connect them to my accessory switch so I could use them at night. Any ideas. I cannot find amperage for that circuit

If I recall correctly that circuit is rated at 15 amps, you should be fine.

Yeah, that tells me the circuit has to be capable of at least 0.36 amps.

15 amps is almost 15 times over what you actually need to run those leds. You will be fine. That's the great part about leds they don't use hardly any amp draw at all.

I double checked my wiring diagrams to make sure I gave the right amps for that circuit and I was right at 15 amps. Like batman says, more than enough juice to run the lights so hook them puppies up and and post some pictures of your install when you're done. Oh, and by the way, welcome to Harley Davidson Forums.

15 amps divided by .36 is 41.6.
You may be able to connect enough LED's to your bike to be seen at night from the Space Station!

Are we talking Ultra Acc swiches? if so there are (2) additional to the Aux lights, Switch 2 is rated for loads of <2 amps and switch 3 is rate for >2 amps (I believe up to 15 amps)

He said Accessory switch, what you are referring to are Auxiliary switches which are an add on and differ from the Accessory switch. But he should specify what bike he's working on so we know.

I saw switch, but without knowing what the OP is riding (although there is reference to bag rails) we are both guessing but given the singular reference you are most likely correct.
