Can anyone please comment on "Impress-Chrome" who sells Stock Factory chrome plated wheels on Ebay? Im most interested in chrome quality and longevity as compared to ***** Shiny which has a great reputation. I'm thinking id like to keep my stock wheels for a later project and ***** Shiny only does exchange program. Impress-Chrome sells wheels outright. I'd really like to hear from those running the wheels. Thanks Folks!
I did the chrome exchange with them a few years ago, wheels, rotors and lowers, very smooth transaction, top notch quality and easy to work with, seems like they worked me up a package deal but it's been a while, no issues so far
Impress will do an exchange, they give you 30 days to return your stock wheels or else they keep your core deposit, it use to be $300-350.
I had 2 sets of factory stock 07 wheels from them. 1 in chrome and 1 in powder coat black. Never had an issue put on almost 60k miles. The chrome ones were so perfect when I had them balanced after installing tires, the tire guy said he only had to add a 1/4 oz. Practically unheard of.
I talked with the Impress guy before I bought and he said they use an additional step (or in lieu of step) besides copper and chrome, instead if just nickle plating they use a hard nickle plate that makes it stronger against rock chips. Back then they came with a 3 year warranty, also unheard of. Not sure they still have a 3 year.
You wont go wrong buying from them.
Prices do go up. I bought mine back in 08-09 and it was about 650ish when all said and done. Still much cheaper than spending 1000-2000 for a set of wheels.
