Default rear wheel problem

Hi guys, I installed my bitchen bagger shocks over the weekend, when I put the bike on the lift I rotated the rear wheel forwards and all was fine, when I rotated it backwards it gets tighter and tighter until I can hardly move it anymore. I put the new shocks on but it is still the same (didnt really expect the shocks to change it) I have checked the belt and sprockets and all looks ok, I think alignment is ok. Its the same with the bike on the ground, I can hardly push it back. Any ideas please?

A possibility is that the belt is jamming against one side of the rear pulley. Turning the wheel by hand may not overcome that resistance. Turn the wheel forwards and see if it improves, then watch the belt to see if it moves sideways.

Watch the belt on the front pulley and see if it's walking inward and rubbing on the transmission housing, if so it's an alignment problem, check if the swingarm moves side to side, wheel bearings, measure from swingarm pivot shaft to rear axle on both sides.

Jolly good question! There are a few things I can usefully get. I'll confirm shortly.

They have a custom show, band and BBQ going on, I went last year and it was a nice run out. Weather is supposed to be ok this weekend as well.

We don't have a road legal bike at present, so it will be a car trip!
