My 07 will break the 100 mph barrier but just barely and that was with the stock windshield. Now with the fairing fuggetaboutit. The front starts lifting and it gets to be twitchy upwards of 85 mph.

 

I do not know the rpms. It gets there quick and then hits the wall.

 

One of the great things about a Harley or similar is that you can cruise all day on a secondary highway at 60 and just take in the scenery and enjoy. Just take it easy and live long.

No governor, but there is a rev limiter that sets the max RPM for the engine.

 

 

My '06 Ultra does 100 with no problem.

 

try it again in 5th gear and let us know.

 

07 won't pull 6th gear anywhere near the rev limiter.

 

There is no speed governor on Harley's. You are just out of horsepower.

I know the HD cruise kicks out at 99 mph but that is it. After 99 mph its controlled by your wrist.
