Default cable length

Looking to change to 14in apes on my 2012 street glide. How long does the clutch cable and brake lines need to be.

I went with 16" Carlini's, which are actually closer to 17's and I went +8" on all cables and brake lines and +12" on the electrical extensions. You can probably use that and knock off a couple of inches for shorter bars. Good luck!!

No sir. A +8 clutch cable is 70"'s.
Also +6 fir the brake line. +8 will give you a little more to work with.

I have installed WO 14" Apes on an 06 and an 08 RK and used +8 from Magnium Shielding for both the Clutch and Brake lines.
Be careful about using +6 on bikes with ABS as the mid lines are all the same length. The difference in cable length is taken up from the perches to the midline connection. I tried a +6 brake line on my 08 RK and it pulled the midline connection just enough that it showed where it came out of the Nacelle. Fortunately I only had to purchase one new section.
Again this was with Magnium Sheilding cables on a RK so I'm not sure this would apply to your Street Glide but it's something to think about. You want to have enough cable that the connection is hidden

If you go to their website they have all clutch and brake cable lengths listed including stock.
