Default Microphone windsock?

I have the Nolan N-com bluetooth system and need to replace the microphone windsocks.

The stock foam covers do not do a good job in blocking wind noise, I wear an open face helmet and ride a full fairing Ultra Limited

Any suggestions for another brand or style?
thanks
brian

Really, when I wear a half helmet or 3/4 helmet, folks say that can't tell I'm on a bike and doing 70mph. I use the Harley system that plugs into the com port on the bike. It works great! I have literally been on conference calls for work and on the bike and no one knew.

Get 'em from any audio store or Amazon for under $10 a pack. Get the size for your mic. Some brands might be better than other though.

Yes I've had the same experience when talking on the phone.

But the Nolan nCom is voice activated it picks up wind noise when my wife and I are not talking I need to reduce this noise

I used to work with a guy that did A/V on the Air Force Academy. They would have to set up Falcon Stadium every year for graduation for the VIP speaker guest.

I remember he used to tell me that they would use condoms on the mics, and then put the foam cover on over top. It eliminated all the wind noise from the windy days we always get in Colorado in the spring-time.

I know it sounds funny, but it might be worth a try.

My condolences if your size condoms fit snuggly on the Harley mic.

If you have an old leather glove cut the finger tip off and cut a small voice hole. I think I used a rubber band on mine around the mic boom. It should also do better at blocking wind noise.

Stupid question but, have you adjusted the sensitivity of the voice activation? You can do that and get rid of that static in most cases. You actually won't hear anything until you start talking.
