I want trained Harley certified techs working on my bike, no one else, just my 2 cents.
To each his own. To me, "Harley certified techs" = license to steal.

Like you said, let them do it to someone else's of the same bike and I'll take the map, thank you. Then fine tune it to my bike with an auto tune using my FP3 or a Power Vision according to my real world riding.
The guy that tuned mine did it in four pulls. First was a baseline, second and third were for corrections and the forth was for near perfection. I was in there the whole time and never did I feel like my engine was being abused.

Update - I canceled my dyno w/ my HD dealer and have decided to have my bike Dynoed by R&R Cycles in Manchester. Thanks to all that offered advice.

You gonna be banging your head for real if that's what you want. I'd trust a power commander v with a mail order tune from fuel Moro before I trusted a "trained Harley certified tech" working on my bike. FYI...Harley's are what EVERYONE who goes to motorcycle school starts off on before they go to their specific platform. A Yamaha mechanic is a "trained Harley certified tech" if you wanna be technical.

ps. this dealer has done work on many of my bikes over 15 years, even a similar job that I'm going thru now - this is my first problem with them. dyno is the way to go, now to find a good one in the nj/ny/pa area.
I know this is an old post, but Dave Stoddard is the dyno guy at Pocono Hd. He's fantastic. He used to have his own shop down in Bethlehem but closed up and went to work for Pocono Harley.
He mostly uses TTS Mastertune, but I'm sure any Tuner will do. He takes his time and will unstrap you bike and take it on the road to check everything in between pulls (at least that's what he did with my FLHTK)

In NYC find Rosa's Cycle - Andrew Rosa - He is very good - Also Hillside in Munnsville NY - probably to far for you but one of the best - Eastcoast Jim

R&R builds amazing engines and components. Good choice.

My dealer said that the canned Harley tunes were **** and that Harley Davidson is using the same tune for all stages of their builds and has had a falling out with who never did the tuning originally so no upgrades are being made. Go with a reputable tuner and you won't be dissapionted.
