Tuning

i called dealer today to see about getting a dyno ran, than to my dismay or ignorance, i was told i had to buy a race tuner, or one of the other ones just to have it dyno`ed, and it would run over 600 dollors but that included the dyno , wtf, i just thought you could have just have everything checked and adjusted, (ouch)

Yep, it's not cheap! I just got my PCIII for $270 and have it installed with a basic map for my bike's set up. I do plan to have a Dyno tune done in the very near future thought to optimize things perfectly. You'll get the most out of your motor if you dyno it and have a good tuner installed.

yep you can tuna Fish but you cant tune your bike

At the shop were I go its $35 to run for numbers on the Dyno.

Wideglidebob, I am doing the same thing right now. I am having pipes and an air cleaner put on next week. Not sure what to do yet. I was thinking the race tuner and spending 6 bills. Then I was thinking the fuel Pak for $200 but the dealership don't like em for the altitude. The PCIII is about $600 as well. My mechanic says I need none of it. Hmmmm. the story continues. We will keep you posted what we do.
