'14 Road King Speedometer
There is moisture inside the speedometer of my Road King. This is my excuse to get something different as I don't like the original with the tiny tachometer on the right side of the speedometer. Is there an aftermarket part that has a large analog tachometer in place of the speedometer and then a digital speedometer in the center or bottom of the gauge? I have found similar gauges but the listings say they don't fit the Road King.

Tach's on the tank make me nervous. I have a Road King and a Limited. I'd like to have a tach on the Road King but mounted where the speedo is, if your watching it, there's no way your watching the road. It's easy to glance at the tach on the Limited. HD makes a tach that mounts up on the handlebar clamp but it doesn't fit with the windshield bag. I've decided that the tach isn't important enough to jeopardize safety or my windshield bag. If I hit the rev limiter, I know I went to far
Dakota does make a nice looking combo unit though.

I swapped out the stock speedo on my old Road King with this one. I liked it a lot...

I think my fogged up after the 3rd or 4th wash
so I installed the Speedo/Tach combo pretty early on and damned if that didn't get moisture in it too. (maybe I rinse too much) I also installed a Dakota Digital MCL7000 up on the fairing closer to eye level. Tapped into all the idiot lights and turn signals so I'm not looking down as much. I really don't bother with the tach much as I'm so used to the engine sound now. I just find it so much easier to have the speed, neutral and turn signal lights up higher with the Dakota gauge.
