I pulled a camper behind a 95 ultra out west in 1997. I was so pissed off at the trouble it was, that if it had been my camper (I borrowed it!), I would have given it away when I was out there or left in on the side of the road one. I rode 6100 miles with it. It cut my gas milage by 1/3. To me...they are not worth the trouble if you are going multiple places. They pull fine, just a pain in the a$$, especially around sturgis and all. That was my first and last time ever with one.

Gman, The problem I had especially around Sturgis, Deadwood and places like that where parking is so limited is parking. You can't hardly back the things especially when motorcycles are parked handle bar to handle bar for miles. I'd have to jump off, unhook it, back it...hook it back up.The little cargo trailer would not be quite as bad on the gas milage I'm sure. My experience with them was not worth the trouble, but thats just me. I did leave it dropped in Sturgis for about 3 or 4 days then we rode toYellowstone, Bonneville Salt Flats, the Grand Canyon and I ended up in Las Vegas. Stayed in a hotel everywhere but Sturgis!! I'd take a small tent and a sleeping bag anyday.Thats just my experience with pulling onethough. I think I was getting only like 122 miles per tank average pulling it is all.

Pulled a camper (Dbl L) for years with the GW all over the country and never really knew it was back there till it blew a tire while doing 70+ mph - Made for a "E Ticket" ride - Have pulled the same camper with the Road King (once or twice) and really wasn't happy with the ride... and will more then likely never pull it with the '07 Road Glide - The Wife says "MOTEL\HOTEL".. And have to agree with her... Makes for a lots nicer trip...

A Harley sure don`t pull one as easy as a Wing, but you can pull one without alot of problems----been pulling a Bunkhouse for years---great camper and pulls ok going down the road---mainly use it within 300 miles---going across the Country---Look for Motel 6

I pull a Bunkhouse with a 2004 Ultra. Bike pulls it fine upto 80 MPH. The gas mileage does suffer when pulling the camper. We only use it for Rallies around Texas where we doour camping. For longer trips out of state we pull a Starlight cargotrailer and stay in Motels.

Thank all of ya'll for the responses . It seems like there are more of you that dont really care for them , and even less on long trips . I am starting to think that it probably wont be worth the money to buy one, but I still may go the other route and buy a little cargo trailer . I know I have a lot of room on my Ultra , and dont mind sleeping in a tent , but I dont have anywhere to put a tent and chair and such on my bike so thats why I was thinking of an alternative. Thanks again

Try a 31 foot Jayco, uphill, in the rain, with a broken arm,a flat tire, no insurance, no trailer brakes, and a station wagon full of nuns in front of you just over the hill on the downslope [&:][&:][&:]
