Intermittent starting problem

@ thoughts come to mind.
1) Battery could just weak enough (or starter could be tired drawing too many amps when cranking) to cause low enough amperage or voltage for ign so motor cranks but wont fire.
I have run into this very issue few times over the yrs wrenching bikes so i know it can & does in fact happen time to time.
Quick test for that would be to when you get home and shut bike off hot to quickly hook up jumper cables to it to see if it fires up NP hot,if yes its very a weak battery & or tired starter drawing too many amps or a mixture of both collectively causing the problem of not enough amps/volts left when cranking to properly power the ign module or coil.
2) Sometimes when theres an issue with an electrical item on a vehicle it will fail when it get overheated like for example when you 1st shut bike down and it overheats the ign moduel or coil making something electrical expand enough to cause an OPEN disconnecting pwr to it etc.
But when it cools off enough 20-30 mins later the ign module or coil works again till it overheats again making it temporarily fail again cycling like that back & forth.
3) Long shot, maybe there's a poor pwr connection on ign module or coil .
Good luck.
