Default Drivers Backrest

Can you guys make me smarter on the drivers backrests?

It looks like there are two basic styles for the touring bikes, one with the two "poles" that squeeze together (Comfort Stitch Rider Backrest Kit Part Number 52572-09A) to fit in the mounting kit, and another style with a flat bar to fit the seat (Street Glide Style Adjustable Rider Backrest Part Number 52546-09A).

Will the street glide fit the same mounting part (Rider Backrest Mounting Kit Part Number 52589-09A)? Which one should I choose?

There's a stationary one and there's an adjustable one. The adjustable has a bracket that mounts to the fender via the two "solo seat" mounting bolts. It has a gas strut and a thumb lever that mounts below the seat on the left side to allow you to recline the backrest on the fly.

I have an adjustable backrest in great shape with all hardware that I'm thinking about selling. It's not compatible with my new seat. PM me if interested

I think they require two different mounting brackets. I have the 52572-09A on my 2012 RK and it adjusts up and down at an angle. The "poles" that you pinch together fit in different holes up/down the bracket. so when you raise it up, it also pushes you forward a bit. I like it. I know where to set it.
