Is anybody riding a 12or 13 touring model with a decatted head pipe an no tuner.I just gutted my cat was going to put it on , not sure if I should ride it with no tuner.I have a spare head pipe with the cat. thought I would ask here before I put it all back together. My plan was to have the fuel motto micro tuner,but that's not gonna happen for a couple weeks, bob

 

Do you have slip on mufflers? A high flow air cleaner?

 

I'm riding a 2011 ultra (same as 12 and 13) with a de-catted head pipe, RCX pipes, FL Vieds set at 25% and a 2014 air cleaner. It runs great and (interestingly enough) it always pinged real bad until I replaced the air cleaner with the higher flowing 2014 unit.

 

If thats all you are doing,you do not need a tuner and by de-catting the header pipe,the AFR will be slightly richer.

 

I am running fuel motto dyno tuned slip ons everything else is stock 13k on the clock.

 

Want hurt,you can run with your decatted header
when you change out air cleaner for one that flows more than you need to use tuner of your choise
