OP did you ever get your round trip issue resolved on these new fangled GPS? Thought we might have another lost Gilligan on our hands.

My dealer doesn't charge and it's my understanding that this is how the MoCo wants it handled. For example, if you bring your cycle in for service, they will update the GPS unless you tell them otherwise.

Updating the GPS (not replacing the map) is a simple and should be painless process.
