Hey Kurt,

You can't go wrong with a geezer glide. I went through the same thing last year with my 05 classic and yes the toughest part was deciding which color I wanted and waiting until spring when she finally arrived. Anyway here's my pic and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Hey Whip! I know, you probably think I'm crazy for letting go of my Deluxe. It's been a really hard decision, but after considering the type of riding I do (long cruises out of town), I think the bagger will suit me better. I absolutely love my Deluxe, so that's been the hardest part. I like some of the other touring bikes like the StreetGlide, but I don't want to sacrifice ride quality for coolness, so that's why I'm going with the Geezer, er Classic. I went from looking at choppers to baggers, and in the long run, the bagger won for ride, comfort and flexibility. It may never be as cool to look at as a softail or StreetGlide, but comfort is what won me over this time around. Who knows, maybe I'll win the lottery before spring and then I can keep them both!

Later bud!

Kurt

Watkinst, so now that the wait is over, was it worth it? Judging by the grin on your face I think I know the answer!

I understand completely bro, I used to think baggers were lame, then I went to South Dakota and man they sure started to look good. I am in love with the new Street Glide! I wanna hold on to my Deluxe as long as I can but I see a bagger in my distant future, but for right now FORM beats FUNCTION![sm=smiley4.gif]

You wont regret it!I got off of a Wide Glide and got on a Classic Glide in February and will never go back.I will get a bar hopper some day but there will always be a bagger in my garage.A buddy of mine has gave me hell sense the day I bought it till I let him ride it the other day (now He's looking for one).Good choice!

I just purchased an '06 Ultra off the floor on Friday. Although we had to ride between the rainy periods over the weekend, the wife and I got in a couple of hundred miles.

An AMAZING machine! You will not be dissapointed. The first bike I have ever owned where The Spousal Unit did not complain after the first hour. When I finally stopped for food, she wanted to keep going.

Only two problems:
1. Trying very hard to adhere to the Break In guidelines
2. Getting the smile off of your face.

Whip, as you know first hand, the Deluxe is a great bike and I wish I could have two of them, but for next season, I'm going the Form follows Function route. I may get another bike for town-hopping, but it will have to wait at least another year. I say enjoy the Deluxe because it's a great bike and if it fits your riding style, that's what counts. The day the 'Luxe goes down the road with a new owner will be a sad day for me, but hopefully the new bike will make up for it...
