Default Tourpack latches won't stay locked

i have a 2010 Ultra Classic Limited. I was having problems with my tour pack latches not closing properly and my lid would bounce all over. I replaced with the newer style which clicks together and at first was ok. However the back latch still comes open. I thought maybe that latch was bad and replaced, but still comes open. Any ideas?

Could it be a hinge issue? Does the top seat completely on the bottom all the way around when closed?

Well when I replaced the latches I replaced the hinged also. My next step is to replace the seal and see if the helps. The ABS plastic is not very strong, so if the seal doesn't work I may find a way to stiffen the sides.

On my 1992 I replaced the seal ( easy job ) after replacing the latches ... that did the trick. Hope it works for you.

Same issue on my '11 Limited, so I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I now have a '16 Limited, but when I still had the '11, I sometimes flipped the passenger backrest up, and closed the tourpak on it because I had an amp in the tourpak, and holes in the front to let air in. That kept them shut for me, so maybe you just need a new, little bit thicker rubber seal all the way around the tourpak or the lid.

you beat me to it, I was going to say the seal has compressed over time

for a test, latch the lid and try pulling up and down on it and see how much movement there is, I bet its enough up and down movement couple with vibration to make that little catch slip
