Default tires

just heard of the Michelin Commander II being the go to tire for 2013 electra ultra touring as compared to the HD Dunlop. Any suggestions?

Dunlop elite still the best all around tire by a long shot.

They're amazing tires.. thinking about selling the dunlops on my new bike right now to get any pair of Michelins.. I would buy in a heartbeat.. your first trip on the road and you will agree.

I just put Michelin commander 2's on last week. Had them on my fatboy and loved em. Honestly, I didn't have a problem out of my oem dunlops. got 16500 miles on the rear and 19000 on the front. Cant wait to see if the mileage on the Michelins compares

I had just put new Michelins on my 2011 Ultra Limited and rode to Vegas from south TX.. we travelled at high speeds and they some nice curves throughout the ride.. they just seem to handle the road better and I could tell a marked improvement in traction when comparing to the Dunlops on my Key West trip, at much slower speeds and very few curves.

I have a set got to run them around 40 psi. Some guys claim they're a little suspect in wet conditions. Interesting thread a couple weeks back with the MCII VS the Metzler 888.

i like the dunlop american elites. with the cvo tire sizes, don't know if they have the front 19'' available yet. but even if they did, i'm happy enough with the elites that i'll stick with them.

Not that impressed with them. Like any other tire, when they're new, they're great but as they wear they show what you want to see out of them.
Everyone gets different results.

I ended up with ME888's because I knew METZELER made a great product and they were on sale. So far very happy. I will probably go with either the Dunlop AE or 888 again next go around. Whichever I find a better deal on.
